Wherever possible we work with what you have, to transform your home into what you want. Where you can’t reuse, refurbish or repurpose we seek to find suppliers committed to sustainable practices.
Making sure the design is well considered and timeless - regardless of style - and that good quality, hardwearing, materials are used for well-made curtains, soft furnishings, furniture and fixtures means that your home will stand the test of time. Designs that last, create less waste and reduce our impact on the planet … so your beautiful home does not need to cost the earth.

We are based in North West London. Our online services are available throughout the UK - but for onsite services we like to stay local – though our repeat customers know we will travel for them if we possibly can!
Eco-friendly

We are on a journey to reduce our carbon footprint, and are mindful of using eco-friendly practices: among other efforts our client portal – where you can find all your project files and correspondence easily - is a big step towards reducing paper use in our communications, we use fabric covers instead of plastic to protect your curtains and soft furnishings in transit, we recycle supplies - and where available purchase recycled - our electricity supply is 100% matched to renewable sources and our gas is fully carbon offset through Renewable World, our workshop lighting was replaced with low energy LED and, from 2019, we also offset with www.carbonfootprint.com, each year to make our little business completely carbon neutral.

I had a nomadic upbringing living in South America, North America and Europe before settling in London in 1992. I have a degree in History of Art and Economics from Smith College in the USA and set up Trimm Living in 2011 after 20 years working as an attorney in London.
My home is in Highgate and I love walks on Hampstead Heath. When I’m not thinking about interiors, you’ll find me exploring the neighbourhood looking for a good oat chai latte! I am also a wife, and mum to two boys who are about to fly the nest …
I completed the year-long Professional Curtain, Blind and Soft Furnishings Craft Certificate of the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) qualifying with distinction in July 2011, and followed that with the AMUSF certificate in Traditional Upholstery, again, qualifying with distinction in July 2012.
Since then I have designed and made curtains and blinds, cushions, headboards and other upholstered items for numerous clients
Over the years
I have also completed a number of courses in Interior Design at KLC school of Design, have completed training with the Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers (APDO), as well as with the National Association of Productivity and Organising (NAPO), to help clients create calm, efficient, stylish and comfortable homes that work for their lifestyle.
I take on a small number of projects at a time so I can provide a high level of personal attention to each client. The service is delivered in a simple and efficient way – each client can access all of their documents, inspiration, designs, photos and communications through the client portal, making it easy to manage projects even if they are working on their London home from a remote location!

In addition to my range of decluttering, organising and interior design services, I can also co-ordinate and oversee property refurbishments. I am happy to work with your tradesmen but can also recommend from my trusted team of builders and other interiors craftsmen and specialists.
